Phaxe – So F**king Beautiful 2011

Welcome to Throwback Thursday.
Today we will have a throwback to the year 2011 and take a listen to the track Phaxe – So F**king Beautiful.
2011 was a time in my life where I collected vinyls and cd’s, and spent all my money on music. I had a big collection of trance and house music and every month when I got my paycheck from work, I went to my local music store to listen to what was new, and to find old gold.
One day I found a vinyl with a house track with this vocal saying “So Fucking Beautiful” all the time. I felt there was something catchy to it, and on the B-side of the record was the vocal as acapella (it means only the vocal with no music). I bought the vinyl, went home and recorded the B-side to my computer and made a track.
The vocal is original from Macy Gray, a soul singer with an amazing voice and someone I was following since I started to have an interest in music.
My track was released on an EP from SpinTwist, but was originally meant to be a part of an album that I wanted to make in 2011. But when all the tracks were ready I decided to release them all as EP’s on different labels, and instead make new tracks for an album which was finished and released in 2013.
It’s not my favorite track from that time of my life, but I think the story is nice, and I like to think of the time when I was always in the record shop searching for new inspiration or listening to my favorite artists.
